How you can save thousands in Dental Treatment

Why is prevention so important?

Our teeth play a major role in our lives. Our teeth can have a significant influence on our appearance and self-confidence. It has been clinically proven that inadequate oral health can have severe implications on the rest of your body. Heart Disease, Respiratory Disease, Cardiovascular Disease and increased risk of stroke; are all heightened in potential if patients do not maintain their teeth and gums. Our practice is committed to identifying and eliminating any dental concerns you may have.

We provide a complete range of preventive services to keep your mouth, teeth and gums looking and feeling their best. (click to find out more)

Comprehensive Exams
Your smile is an important asset. Take care of it.

We just don't treat teeth; we treat people and are dedicated to our patients oral and overall well being.
One of the great strengths of our practice is that we can provide you and your family with comprehensive dental care. We'll work with you to develop a plan so you can enjoy the comfort, beauty, function and longevity you desire for the health and appearance of your teeth and smile. We can help you execute this plan as quickly (or slowly) as you want.

Dental Care for Life

Patients can request us to create a proactive, life plan for their teeth. Creating a long-term strategy for your total well being and health. We anticipate five or ten years down the line.

Cleanings

Periodontal Maintenance - It is recommended to have an examination and a cleaning of your gums and teeth every six months.

It is never too late or too early in life to begin good oral practices. Dr Cassimatis will be able to show you and your family how to look after your teeth in between dental visits.

X-Rays - Radiographs or x-rays are necessary to properly diagnose if there are any holes between the back of your teeth. Two small x-rays may need to bed taken every two years depending on the decay rate of the individual patient.

Sealants - these plastic coatings are applied to molars and premolars to seal out decay producing plaque. They are painlessly applied and last for years. Sealants serve in a preventative capacity to reduce the risk of cavities and more costly fillings. They are especially good for children's teeth and are applied as soon as the permanent teeth erupt.

Mouthguards - These are as important as sports equipment, they not only protect the teeth, but the lips, cheeks and tongue.

Gum Disease

If you have swollen, bleeding gums, you may have periodontal gum disease. And the sooner Dr. Cassimatis can eliminate this menace in your mouth, the better. Left untreated, gum disease can cause serious loss of teeth and bone, and it has recently been linked to heart disease and stroke as well as premature and low weight babies.

Fortunately, at Brisbane Smile Centre we can stop this infection quickly and easily with therapy and the use of the laser. We gently remove infected gum tissue and the bacteria causing the infection. The process is very high tech and very effective.

Treating gum disease and bleeding gums is one of the most important things you can do for yourself and your family. We take it seriously, and so should you. Please call or email us today for an appointment.
