Concerns About Cosmetic Dentistry

Will It Hurt?

We understand that this is a big issue for many patients. Today, with advances in equipment and medications, our clients state they are much more comfortable in their treatment. Once we have a treatment plan outlined, your specific questions about discomfort and pain control can easily be answered. Above all don’t put off cosmetic procedures, and certainly much needed dental care, because of past fears of pain. Give us the chance to show to you what today’s dentistry offers.

How Long will It Take

Each individual client is a unique case: therefore it is difficult to quote a time schedule. On average, an in house whitening procedure will last about an hour and a half. Bonding cases can be accomplished in a matter of hours in one visit. Other cases that involve bridges and porcelain veneers require us to prepare the teeth on the first visit, after which you will be sent home with a customized temporary set of teeth.

After your case is returned from our laboratory, we will seat your permanent crowns, veneers or bridges. You will be amazed at how quickly you can have a new smile.

I don’t want anybody to know I’ve had my smile done. Will this look natural?

While every case is unique, graduates of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies are taught special techniques to help create the most natural smile possible. A style for your smile will be determined, taking into account your lifestyle, facial proportions, gender, age, complexion and even hair colour.

Most often our patients hear questions like: “Have you changed your hair style?” or “Have you lost weight?” Their friends know something is different – they just don’t know what.

How Can Cosmetic Dentistry Change your Life?

It is not uncommon for patients to cry with joy, hug their dentist, or even kiss them! Patients tell us they are filled with self confidence, they feel more outgoing, and they simply can’t stop smiling!

Shy patients are often transformed into social butterflies. Professionals tell us of greater career success. Older patients look and feel decades younger. Sounds impossible, but its true. Think about how a new or improved smile would change your life………..

How long will my new smile last?

Today’s materials are actually stronger than natural teeth, and are far more resistant to wearing and breakage than your natural teeth. With regular visits to your Dentist and home care, your smile should last for many, many years.

Does it cost a lot?

The question sometimes arises, “How much does cosmetic dentistry cost? This is a broad question and the answer can vary as widely as the question, “How much does a car cost?” The answer is that the price varies depending on the quality, design, and workmanship that you want in the finished product as well as the care and attention that you receive along the way. Although sometimes enquires are only about cost, that should not be the determining factor. Just as you were selecting a brain surgeon, or even a restaurant or hotel for that matter, you wouldn’t want to make your selection based on price alone.

First, Ask yourself: -

  • What is your smile worth to you?
  • How does it make you feel?
  • How could a gorgeous new smile change your life?

Like all purchases, cost is relative to value. To some, a luxury vehicle is expensive, but to others, it’s great value. No two patients are alike. And in our practice, all cosmetic dentistry is tailored to the individual needs and wants of the patient. The cost of our cosmetic procedures for any one patient can range from as little as a few hundred dollars to thousands.

Cost Factors

Factors that influence our fees include our investment in the latest equipment and materials.   Our commitment to continuing education and hands on training overseas.

We use a master ceramist to handcraft porcelain restorations because we realize that no two patients are alike.

The best approach to determining the cost for your smile design is to schedule an appointment for an examination and cosmetic work up. After this appointment, we will be able to discuss the specific Treatment Plan of action and the specific cost of the smile design that we have prepared especially for you. We’ll also tell you about the no money up front financing plan that you can apply for. This makes getting a gorgeous smile more affordable than ever before.
